Visit with Santa

Samuel had a great chat with Santa...but this was the closest that Joshua wanted to get. Well, that's not quite true...for a split second he was driving the car up and down Santa's arm :)

Rainy Day Picnic

Joshua turns 2!

It is hard to believe our littlest man is already two! We had a family party last weekend and Joshua thoroughly enjoyed being the Birthday Boy. He especially enjoyed eating his very special elephant cake made by Grandma Kathy...and has asked for cake every day since!

Galiano Island Camping

We had a wonderful weekend of camping at Montague Harbour with our friends Reta, James, Danica & Brendan. The kids loved exploring the tidal pools, hiking, and canoeing. We decided this should be an annual summer destination! Danica and Samuel are 3 months apart in age. It was so cute to listen to their 4-year old conversations. At one point I heard Danica say "I love you Samuel"....to which he responded "Why?" :-)

Brothers

These two are having a lot of fun together these days! I love summertime :)

The San Diego Zoo

We spent a full day at the zoo - it's huge! We appreciated the aerial tram which saves you hiking both ways to some of the exhibits. It was also fun to spot some of the animals from the air. The boys favourite animals were the pandas, hippos, and tigers. Joshua also LOVED the flamingos (big pink 'ducks' to him!) but we forgot to take a photo of them.

The Wild Animal Park

We really enjoyed the Wild Animal Park. The animal enclosures are very large and they try to make the habitats as natural as possible. We took a little train ride around the large valley to see most of the animals. Giraffes were our favourite - they are so beautiful and loving towards each other.
