Canine Companion

Samuel and his puppy already appear to be great pals. It seems that Casey thinks Samuel is "her baby" and she likes to keep a close eye on him. Samuel has just started smiling at Casey when she comes near which is pretty cute to see (but hard to catch on camera!). They also have a shared interest - snuggling into flannel blankets for naps :-)

Welcome to the World Party!

Monique, Matt & Liam hosted a wonderful "Welcome to the World Samuel" party yesterday. We had great fun visiting with everyone, eating wonderful food (including DQ cake- yumm!) and Samuel was given some lovely gifts. He especially enjoyed trying out Liam's "tummy time pillow". He fell asleep 30 seconds after we put him on it!! Thanks for letting Samuel borrow your pillow Liam - have fun in Edmonton!

Samuel has been smiling a lot the past few days. We finally caught one on camera! These happy faces have brightened his mommy's day while she's been fighting a rotten cold. Sam is 8 weeks old today. Wow how time flies!!

Visit with Great Grandparents

We had a busy weekend in Nanaimo. Samuel met his Great Grandma Janet and Great Grandpa Ted and many of his "Granties". Brendan, Nadia, Alexander and Bennett were visiting as well and we had a great time with them. Sam also had fun spending time with his cousins Emma and Maxwell. To top off the excitement.... Samuel was showered with gifts on Sunday at a lovely baby shower organized by Geri.
