Manning Park

We spent Sunday afternoon cross-country skiing at Manning Park. We are very fortunate to have such a gorgeous ski area within 1.5 hrs from the Wack. I think Casey had the most fun trying to retrieve snowballs :-) I was afraid we might lose her in the fluffy, deep powder!

Sun Peaks Adventure

We just returned from a relaxing week at Sun Peaks resort. We stayed at a 2-bedroom cabin in the village that belongs to Ryan's preceptor. We had fun on both the downhill slopes and cross-country trails - the snow conditions were super! I enjoyed a wonderful pregnancy massage at a spa one day too :-) Each night we relaxed beside the fireplace, watched movies, and played games. This past weekend, 11 of our friends joined us (other residents/spouses) and we had a great time together. Here are a few pictures from the week.

Holiday Fun

We had a wonderful Christmas in Nanaimo. The weather was so mild (13 degrees Celsius) on Christmas Day that we were able to go for an afternoon hike with Lisa, Emma, and Max. It was great to visit our family and friends, relax, and eat plenty of turkey. Today we went cross-country skiing at Manning Park - a perfect way to start off 2006.
