Resident Retreat

Samuel met a Sasquatch on the weekend! We had a great time camping with the residents at Chilliwack Lake and hiking at Lindeman Lake. Samuel enjoyed the fresh air and slept most of the time (even in the arms of a Sasquatch!). He also enjoyed his visit with Julie last week (she was visiting from Atlanta).

Calgary

Samuel had a wonderful weekend meeting his older cousins, Alexander and Bennett, and his Auntie Nadia and Uncle Brendan. Baby Ben (3 months) was baptized on Sunday and he was a superstar baby. He smiled the entire time and both he and Alex managed to get smiles out of Samuel :-).

Tofino Holiday

We just returned from a fantastic 3 days on the West Coast. We enjoyed long walks on the beach and in the rainforest as well as plenty of R & R in our log cabin. Also we've added a few more pictures from our weekend in Nanaimo.

Weekend in Nanaimo

We've been enjoying the weekend in Nanaimo celebrating Nana's birthday and Mother's Day. Samuel also turned one month old yesterday! He has enjoyed meeting his Great Grandma Vera, aunties, uncles, and cousins. Last night Auntie Hazel and Uncle Dennis had a wonderful BBQ in their backyard. Here are some pictures Nana and Papa have taken over the last couple of days.

Samuel really enjoys his bath time, especially when he catches a glimpse of himself in the mirror. He also loves having naps with his puppy Casey on Daddy's chest.

3 weeks old

We've had fun with little Samuel this past week. He seems to be alert for longer periods of time and smiles a fair bit (although he has no idea he's doing it!). He enjoyed visits from Karyn, Nana and Alyssa last week. We've been enjoying the sunny weather and went for a hike at Hicks Lake, sightseeing at Minter Gardens, and lunch at Harrison Hot Springs Resort.
