January Days

We've been enjoying the sunny January days lately - a very nice change from the storms of December!
Nana came for a visit a little while ago and Samuel loved his many cuddles with her. Last weekend we were at Whistler for a resident retreat. Sam and Liam enjoyed going for toboggan rides together (as long as we sang The Wheels on the Bus song and other favourites!). Unfortunately Samuel had a teething episode there (we think?) so not a lot of sleep occurred for mom and dad....or the rest of the cabin for that matter! We enjoyed a sunny day at Manning Park last week and a wonderful visit and hike up Teapot Hill with our friends Tara & Mark this past weekend. The wind damage in the Cultus Lake area was crazy. There were so many trees down! Unfortunately we forgot to take our camera along on the hike. This week has been pretty low-key so far. Samuel has come down with a lousy cold so we've been reading his favourite books together (over...and over!!) and Casey is trying very hard to cheer up her little playmate.

9 Months Old!

Samuel is 9 months old today. His favourite activities lately are crawling around, pulling himself up on things, cruising along furniture, cross-country skiing with his buddy Liam, "reading" to himself, playing his baby grand piano, running around and listening to salsa music in his tropical "round we go", and playing with his new tub toys. As always.....Casey is an endless source of entertainment for him!
